Pinched By Lobster! Original Painting

Continuing my exploration of marine life, I’ve recently found myself drawn to lobsters and other crustaceans. This piece is a playful reimagining of a lobster, born from my imagination and brought to life with bold pattern and expressive detail.

Please note that the painting is even more vibrant in person, with warmer, slightly more golden tones than appear in photographs, as well as the signature, which is a burnt sienna hue. I’m also increasingly embracing my sketching practice, allowing the pen work to take a more prominent role in my paintings. In this piece, the expressive linework creates texture, movement, and character, giving the lobster a magical presence.
