Holy Crab! Original Painting

Continuing my exploration of marine animals, I’ve recently become fascinated by crabs and crustaceans. This lovely creature is a figment of my imagination, a playful reimagining of a crab adorned with a bold animal print. I included a pic of my original take on my sketchbook for your reference.

Please note that the illustration is even more beautiful in person and appears slightly more yellow than in the photographs, as well as the signature, which is a burnt sienna hue. I also find myself increasingly drawn to my sketches, which are becoming more prominent in my work. In this particular piece, the expressive use of pen plays a central role in bringing texture, detail, and character to life.
